About

Stachowiak Whisky was born from curiosity rather than a business plan. What began with whisky cask investment gradually evolved into a journey of exploring the people, places and traditions that shape whisky long before its first release.

Roots

I grew up in Wielkopolska in western Poland, surrounded by forests and farmland, where wood and nature were simply part of everyday life. Only years later did I realise how deeply those early experiences had shaped the way I see wood, patience and the stories behind every cask.

Curiosity

My first whisky casks were purchased as long-term investments. But owning casks opened the door to distilleries, warehouses and conversations with the people behind the spirit. Investment soon turned into curiosity.

The Journey

Every visit raised new questions. What began with whisky gradually expanded into exploring the wider world of maturation—from distilleries and warehouses to wineries, rum estates and other producers whose craft helps shape the character of a cask. Every journey offered another piece of the puzzle.Understanding whisky meant understanding the journeys of wood, climate, wine, rum and time long before they meet the spirit.

Stachowiak Whisky

Today, Stachowiak Whisky is building a carefully selected portfolio of casks while documenting the journeys that shape them. Every future release will reflect years of exploration, patience and thoughtful selection.

First release
Planned for 2029

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Every cask has a journey.

Before flavour comes origin.

Patience creates character.

Great whisky cannot be rushed.

Understanding comes before bottling.

We believe every release should begin with knowledge, not just ownership.

Portfolio

Stachowiak Whisky is built around a carefully curated portfolio of owned casks maturing across England and Scotland, with selected projects beyond the UK.The portfolio spans multiple distillation years, distilleries, styles, and maturation approaches. Its purpose is not volume. Its purpose is exploration, comparison and long-term development.

Portfolio Structure

20+ casks under ownership.Maturing across Scotland and England.- Different distilleries.
- Different spirit styles.
- Different maturation journeys.
- Different timelines.
- One long-term vision.

Current Focus

Sampling and evaluation.
Monitoring cask development over time.
Assessing maturation and finishing opportunities where appropriate.

Portfolio Philosophy

Selection is driven by profile, not category.
Wood should support the spirit, not replace it.
Finishing is a tool, not a shortcut.
Releases are determined by readiness and timing.

Every cask is selected for what it could become, not simply for what it is today.

Further portfolio details will be shared as the journey progresses.

Future Releases

The first release is currently planned for 2029.Every release begins years before bottling.Selection.Evaluation.Maturation.Decisions.Only then comes the bottle.

Release Philosophy

Driven by selection, not schedule.
No release exists simply because a date has arrived.
Each release must earn its place within the portfolio.

Current Status

Warehouse visits and cask evaluations are ongoing.Future releases remain subject to maturation, evaluation, and final selection.

Looking Ahead

The first bottle is still years away. The journey has already begun.
